Frequently Asked Questions

Do you flush the spouts? Our crews carry snakes to clear the spout elbows from the top. If there are any blockage after that it is from the sewer lines or at ground level. That requires either power snaking or removing the downspout. We can handle that but it is not part of the basic job. We do not take a hose up and run water in the spout.

How do I know you cleaned the gutters if I can’t see? Hold on to your bill. On the next general rain, you can hear the water running down the spouts. If there is an overflow from the top, that indicates there is still a problem. Call us immediately.

There is a guy who can do the job for half the price, why hire RPC? If you can get the SAME job for half the price, then go for it. But the jobs are not the same. Most “guys” in this line of work do not have insurance, meaning, they fall….. You pay. Or if there is ANY problem, we are a phone call away. Not so sure if the other guy's phone is even working.

What if there are other repairs needed? Our crew foreman will leave a note on the bill telling you what they saw. We can provide a free estimate for any repairs. Bottom line, we will tell you what we are seeing. It’s your choice if you want us to repair it or not.

What if it snows?? And my gutters still aren’t cleaned?!!! Hey, we live in Cleveland where in one week you see ALL the seasons. Remember in November of ‘96, it snowed 4 feet. Two weeks later, it’s all gone, and we hardly had any snow after that. Snow is part of the fall season. When it’s snowing, nothing is moving. It’s the week of rain that brings the problems, not the snow.

I have a persistent waterfall at one part of my gutter. What can I do? Chances are your gutters have become misaligned. Like tires on a car, they need realignment. We can handle that repair as well.

Do you recommend screens on gutters. NO, NO, and NO. Nothing but problems. The leaves actually sit on the screens. Then where does the water go? If not in the gutter, it has to go somewhere else. As far as keeping the leaves out? You wouldn’t believe the stuff that gets in there!…. Dirt and asphalt granules from the roof, flower buds, animal debris, seeds and more.

The snow and ice on the driveway has melted and you have still not cleaned our gutters.  Has the ice in your gutters melted? Do a simple self test by going out  into your yard and trying to insert a knife into your flower pot. In all probability you will not succeed. The reason is the mud is still not thawed out which is the same situation with your gutters. We will get to you once the ice in the gutters have thawed.
